Regent Seven Seas Cruises is putting its new 2028–2029 Voyage Collection on the road, with two event series across Australia and New Zealand this September. The aim is clear: help travel advisors turn a big cruise launch into bookings.
The Luxury Goes Exploring events will run from 1 to 25 September 2026. One series is open to travel partners and their invited clients. The second is for travel partners only. Both support sales, but each does a different job.
And for advisors, that matters.
A luxury cruise is rarely sold with one brochure, one email and a cheerful “bon voyage”. Clients want facts. They want to know where they are going, how long they will stay, what is included and why one voyage may suit them better than another.
Regent’s new collection gives them plenty to discuss.
The official 2028–2029 Voyage Collection has more than 230 itineraries, 80 in-port overnights and three new ports of call, with reservations now open. In other words, there is no shortage of choice, although 230-plus itineraries may require rather more than a quick flick through the brochure over morning tea.
Clients Come Along for the Cruise Conversation
The client events are designed to bring the product to life.
Advisors can invite customers who already know Regent, as well as travellers who may be new to the brand. Guests will hear about the latest voyages, destinations and longer stays in port, while getting a closer look at what sailing with Regent involves.
There is a sales hook, too.
Regent says clients attending these events will be eligible for an event-only offer through their travel advisor. That gives agents a clear reason to follow up afterwards and, with any luck, a rather better opening line than the immortal sales favourite, “just checking in”.
Regent has also made life easier for advisors with a partner toolkit containing editable invitations and promotional assets they can send to client databases. It is a small but useful detail. The less time an advisor spends building invitations, the more time there is to speak to people who may actually book the cruise.
Regent Gives Advisors Their Own Sales Session
The second event series is reserved for travel partners.
These sessions take a more hands-on route, with sales ideas, new marketing tools and resources aimed at helping advisors win luxury cruise clients. Partners will also have access to an event-only offer they can apply to eligible client bookings.
For a cruise line, that distinction is important. One event sells the dream. The other helps the advisor close the sale.
The new collection centres on more time ashore and more choice. Regent’s official material confirms more than 230 new itineraries and 80 in-port overnights, while its wider cruise range includes Immersive Overnights and festive voyages.
Regent also continues to put included shore experiences, dining and personal service at the heart of its luxury proposition. The September events will highlight unlimited shore excursions, gourmet dining and personalised service as part of the sales story presented to advisors and clients.
Why Regent’s Two-Part Strategy Makes Sense
For the trade, the two-part plan is smart.
The client events create interest. The advisor sessions help turn that interest into action. That’s where Regent’s plan makes sense.
A cruise line can launch hundreds of voyages, yet clients can still wonder where to start. Should it be Europe? Asia? The South Pacific? An overnight-rich itinerary? Something festive? Something longer?
That is where a good travel advisor earns their sea legs.
Advisors remain the people who sort the “lovely” from the “right for you”, especially when the trip involves several countries, premium suites and a holiday budget deserving rather more thought than choosing Tuesday night’s takeaway.
Regent’s September events give them more tools to do just that.
Travel advisors can register for the official Partners Bring Clients events through Regent’s event portal. They can also register for the travel-partner-only Luxury Goes Exploring events through Regent’s dedicated trade portal. Sandra has spent a working lifetime quietly rescuing journeys, one itinerary, one anxious caller, one impossible connection at a time. Years in Australia’s finest travel agencies taught her the art of calm, how to find a flight in a fog of cancellations, how to soothe a traveller when luggage wanders, how to turn nine frantic days in Europe into something resembling sense. Qualified, seasoned, endlessly patient, she learned that good travel advice is part logistics, part listening.
But the storyteller in her was always waiting its turn. Writing offered a new map, a way to turn experience into reflection, detail into delight. At Global Travel Media, Sandra now writes the truths only insiders know: the mishaps, the laughter, the grace found between gates and goodbyes. She reminds us that travel, for all its fuss, is still one of life’s better ideas.
