HX Expeditions has put a very cool prize on the table for Australian travel agents. Its new Chart Your Course to Antarctica incentive offers five places on an exclusive Antarctica famil in March 2027.

The campaign runs from 1 August to 31 October 2026. Agents earn points for each eligible HX Antarctica 2027 booking made and deposited during that period.

A standard cabin earns one point. A suite earns three. In other words, selling a little more space could take an agent a very long way south.

The five agents with the highest verified scores will win a place on the famil, subject to final approval by HX Expeditions.

How agents can qualify

The rules are simple, but they must be followed closely.

Each booking must be new, must be for an Antarctica voyage in 2027, and must be made and deposited within the campaign dates. Agents must also register every booking through the official registration form:

That last step matters. An unregistered booking earns no points, no matter how impressive the sale. Paperwork may lack the glamour of a Zodiac landing, but it can still decide who gets to see the penguins.

HX will check all bookings before it confirms the final scores. The five famil places cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash or another benefit.

The prize excludes international airfares, travel insurance, visas, spending money and any other costs not listed in the final famil program. HX will confirm the voyage dates and inclusions for the planned March 2027 trip.

A strong prize for strong sellers

For travel agents, the reward goes well beyond a familiarisation trip. Antarctica is a product best understood in person. Its scale, wildlife, weather and raw beauty are difficult to capture in a brochure or sales script.

HX has operated expeditions since 1896. Its Antarctica program includes guided landings, wildlife viewing, learning programs and onboard science. The operator’s Australian Antarctica website also promotes an all-inclusive approach, while the HX Agent Portal provides booking tools, offers and sales support.

The timing is sharp. HX recently reported a record 2025–26 Antarctica season and its highest-ever suite bookings. That makes the three-point suite reward more than a nice flourish; it gives agents a clear commercial reason to aim higher.

Agents should register each sale as soon as it is deposited and keep full booking records. The ice may be unpredictable, but this incentive is not: sell, register and keep an eye on the scoreboard.
