To celebrate the Australian Himalayan Foundation’s (AHF) 25th anniversary in 2027, World Expeditions Travel Group is launching two special departures through Huma Charity Challenge, its specialist charity travel brand. The journeys give travellers the opportunity to explore the Himalaya alongside renowned ambassadors while raising vital funds for communities across the region.
The commemorative departures are:
• Manaslu Circuit with Heath Francis OAM (26 March – 10 April 2027) – a 16-day trek through Nepal’s remote Manaslu region with Paralympian and AHF Ambassador Heath Francis OAM.
• Peter Hillary’s Himalaya: Ladakh, Everest, Darjeeling & Bhutan (25 September – 13 October 2027) – a 19-day Himalayan journey with mountaineer, author and AHF founding director Peter Hillary, featuring visits to AHF-supported projects across India, Nepal and Bhutan.
Huma Charity Challenge, one of several specialist brands within the World Expeditions Travel Group portfolio, creates purpose-driven adventures that connect travellers with the causes they support. With World Expeditions pioneering trekking in Nepal since 1975, the Himalaya has long been central to the business, making the Australian Himalayan Foundation’s 25th anniversary a fitting milestone to celebrate.
