Beenleigh Artisan Distillery has taken out top honours at both the 2025 Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) Tourism Awards and the 2025 Australian Tourism Awards.
The back-to-back wins cement its reputation as one of Australia’s standout distillery experiences, recognised for its immersive visitor offering, craftsmanship and contribution to the industry at both a state and national level.
Founded in 1884, Beenleigh Rum is Australia’s oldest operating rum distillery and a cornerstone of Queensland’s distilling heritage. Located in Eagleby, the distillery has evolved into a leading tourism destination, offering a unique blend of history, hospitality and hands-on experiences.
From guided tours through the working distillery to premium tastings, cocktail experiences and interactive masterclasses, Beenleigh offers an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at the art of rum-making.
Venue Manager Ross Adams said the recognition was a proud moment for the team and the local community.

“This is an incredible honour for our entire team,” he said.
“To be recognised not only in Queensland but across Australia reflects the passion, dedication and innovation that goes into every experience we offer. We’re proud to showcase the rich heritage of distilling while creating something truly memorable for our visitors.”
The win also highlights the strength of Queensland’s tourism industry, particularly in South East Queensland, where experience-led destinations continue to attract both locals and interstate visitors.
“These awards belong to our team and our community,” Mr Adams said.
“We’re grateful to our visitors, partners and supporters who continue to champion what we do.”
The Australian Tourism Awards are the industry’s highest honour, recognising excellence in innovation, service and visitor experience across the country.
With national recognition now secured, Beenleigh Artisan Distillery is set to welcome more visitors looking to experience one of Queensland’s leading tourism destinations.
