Alt. Hospitality Group has officially opened the newly redeveloped Georges River Sailing Club, unveiling a $12 million transformation that signals a bold new era for both the historic waterfront venue and the Group itself.

The project reflects Alt. Hospitality Group’s vision to reimagine iconic community venues for the future. Formerly known as ICC Group, the Group has rebranded as Alt. In line with this vision, the Georges River Sailing Club which was founded in 1927 has been reimagined as a light-filled, modern social and dining hub while honouring its nearly 100-year legacy.

The relaunch introduces Porta Dining, a new Mediterranean-inspired restaurant with sweeping views of Dolls Point Beach and Botany Bay, featuring exclusive cocktail collaborations with acclaimed mixologists Maybe Sammy, alongside revitalised function spaces, a lively sports bar and upgraded entertainment facilities.

“We are redefining what community venues can be. Our focus is to provide a sense of connection and belonging and create moments that matter – whether you are a long time member or a first time visitor,” said Chris White, Interim CEO of Alt. Hospitality Group.

“The transformation of Georges River Sailing Club represents the future direction of our whole organisation as we continue to create spaces where people come together to dine, celebrate and connect.”

A Fresh Chapter for a Local Icon

Bounded by Cook Park, Dolls Point Beach and Sanoni Avenue, the Club is preparing to mark its centenary in 2027. The redevelopment reflects this legacy while offering a new vision: a modern classic, authentic and locally loved, yet destination-worthy venue.

“With the sparkle of Botany Bay as our backdrop, we’ve created a place where people can gather every day of the week, from family dinners to cocktails at sunset or milestone celebrations. It’s premium without being pretentious, and we’re proud to deliver a space the whole community can enjoy,” said Mr White.

The project was brought to life by Loucas Architects, constructed by Evolve Constructions, with interiors styled by Hale & Co and project managed by Empire Project Management.
