The food can be accompanied by fine wines, likewise coming in international or local options; Maltese wine is virtually unknown in the country but is nevertheless excellent. The Phoenicia is one of the most prominent supporters of Malta’s upcoming EuroPride Valletta 2023 festival from 7-17 September. As is the Malta Tourism Authority, The Phoenicia is going all out to welcome EuroPride visitors, and a more agreeable base for enjoying the festivities would be hard to imagine. The circular plaza just outside the hotel’s front door will be an essential venue for EuroPride, and the hotel’s swimming pool will no doubt be the scene of many beautiful bodies basking in the warm Mediterranean sun. Yet another food and beverage outlet at The Phoenicia is the expansive pool deck café, where casual meals and serious cocktails can be enjoyed in sublime surroundings.
