Railway stations have always been an important venue for love encounters, and Gympie Historic Station is going to revive the romance of the rails with a special Valentine’s Day dinner on Tuesday, 14 February.
The station’s Rusty Rails Café will provide a movie-set atmosphere for the special evening, with lovers being offered a three-course dinner, a glass of bubbles on arrival, candlelit tables and live acoustic menu to accompany the meal.
Locally sourced produce will be a feature of the ingredients for all three courses, including local prawns, quality meats and fresh, seasonal salads and vegetables. There is a choice of three dishes for each course, including a vegan option.
And in keeping with the romantic theme, dessert options will include a chocolate smash heart with chocolate dipped strawberries.
The value-packed dinner is available for just $75 per person, and additional drinks can be ordered throughout the evening.
Seats are limited, so early bookings are recommended. The full selection of dishes and booking arrangements can be found at www.maryvalleyrattler.com.au
