As a trusted insurance partner and market leader in health and protection, Prudential Hong Kong Limited (“Prudential”) is committed to safeguarding the health of Hong Kong residents. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Prudential today announced it will distribute 10,000 boxes of Hong Kong-made face masks in various colours for free through the Pulse by Prudential (“Pulse”) health and wellness app.
In addition, in line with the company’s “We Do” spirit, Louis Koo, the much-loved showbiz icon, will be invited to a Facebook live session to share tips on how to fight the pandemic, as well as demonstrate activities that one can do at home, such as workouts, creating healthy drinks and juices, and playing badminton.
Hong Kong-made masks offered exclusively to Pulse users, encouraging Hong Kong people to uphold the preventive measures
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Hong Kong, Prudential has provided the Hong Kong community with an array of extra benefits and comprehensive services spanning the three key phases of one’s health journey – “prevention”, “postponement” and “protection”.
“COVID-19 has brought about unprecedented challenges to world, and Prudential, together with the people of Hong Kong, have been battling the virus with our ‘We Do’ spirit. With the third wave of the pandemic in Hong Kong, we firmly believe the collective efforts of the entire society matters,” said Priscilla Ng, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer of Prudential, “As part of our long-term commitment to support our community, Prudential is giving out 10,000 boxes of Hong Kong-made masks in a variety of colours for free, providing people with the necessary protection and helping curb the spread of COVID-19.”
From 3 to 30 September, all Hong Kong residents[1] can register for the free surgical masks by downloading the Pulse app and accessing the “Pulse Double Offers” in the “What’s Hot” page under “Health” section. The first 1,000 successful registrants will each receive a box of surgical masks, while the remaining 9,000 boxes will be distributed through a lucky draw. The results of the lucky draw will be announced on the official website of Prudential, Sing Tao Daily and The Standard on 23 October 2020 and the masks will be delivered to the designated addresses of the successful registrants starting from October.
The surgical masks that will be distributed through this campaign are produced by Good Mask, a Hong Kong-based company that manufactures high quality masks. Each box contains 30 individually packed ASTM Level 3 masks in five different colours. The masks are certified with the EN14683 Type II R classification, the highest standard for surgical masks in Europe with a BFE, PFE and VEF of over 99%, providing excellent protection.
