The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is strengthening Malaysia’s presence in the Chinese Business Events market through its inaugural participation at the China International MICE Exchange (CIMX) 2026, taking place from 3 to 5 November 2026 at the China National Convention Centre II (CNCC II) in Beijing.

This strategic participation reflects MyCEB’s continued commitment to expanding Malaysia’s international market reach, strengthening industry partnerships and positioning the country as a preferred destination for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions.

As an important market for Malaysia’s Business Events industry, China presents opportunities to attract international events and foster closer collaboration with industry stakeholders. CIMX 2026 provides a platform for MyCEB to engage directly with Chinese and international buyers, showcase Malaysia’s Business Events capabilities and explore new business opportunities.

The inaugural CIMX 2026 is expected to attract more than 200 exhibitors, over 350 buyers and approximately 5,000 trade visitors, with more than 9,000 business meetings anticipated throughout the three-day event. The exhibition brings together key industry players through targeted business matchmaking, knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities.

Miss Tan Mei Phing, Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB, said the Bureau’s participation demonstrates its proactive approach to strengthening engagement with key international markets and driving business opportunities for Malaysia.

“China remains an important strategic market for Malaysia’s Business Events industry, offering significant potential for business growth and industry collaboration. Our debut at CIMX 2026 provides a valuable platform to engage with key buyers and decision-makers while showcasing Malaysia’s strengths as a competitive and attractive Business Events destination.

“Beyond destination promotion, our focus is on building meaningful partnerships and converting business leads into tangible opportunities for Malaysia. Through sustained market engagement and close collaboration with industry stakeholders, we aim to attract more international Business Events that contribute to the growth of the industry and generate wider economic benefits for the country,” she said.

MyCEB’s participation also provides an opportunity to highlight Malaysia’s modern infrastructure, diverse convention facilities, established hospitality sector and distinctive destination experiences. Through direct engagement with international buyers and event organisers, the Bureau aims to identify potential event opportunities and strengthen Malaysia’s competitiveness in the global Business Events market.

Industry stakeholders and visitors attending CIMX 2026 are invited to meet the MyCEB team at Booth B01 to discover Malaysia’s Business Events offerings and explore potential collaborations. Through its inaugural participation at CIMX 2026, MyCEB remains committed to strengthening Malaysia’s international Business Events profile, expanding strategic partnerships and generating quality business opportunities for the country.
