Vietjet Thailand (VZ) is increasing flight frequencies across its domestic and international networks under its winter flight schedule to accommodate rising travel demand during the peak tourism and year-end holiday season. The airline is expanding services on popular routes to Japan and Malaysia, including Tokyo, Osaka and Kuala Lumpur, in response to continued growth in travel demand.
“The final quarter of the year through early 2027 is a period of heightened travel demand across both domestic and international markets. Vietjet Thailand is therefore increasing flight frequencies on popular routes with strong passenger demand, particularly international services to Japan and Malaysia, while expanding domestic operations significantly. The capacity addition forms part of Vietjet Thailand’s strategy to manage its route network in line with market potential and travel demand across different regions. The airline continues to optimize its fleet operations and flight schedules to better meet passenger demand, while offering convenient, affordable and accessible travel options. We also aim to strengthen air connectivity and support Thailand’s tourism industry during the peak travel season,” said Mr. Woranate, Chief Executive Officer of Vietjet Thailand.
For domestic, the carrier has set a maximum of 25% increased capacity on the current 12 routes, including the resumption of Phuket – Chiang Rai. Under its winter schedule covering the fourth quarter of 2026 through early 2027, the airline is expanding services to 10 destinations to/from Suvarnabhumi Airport, its main operating base. These include Chiang Mai, with up to 12 flights per day; Chiang Rai, 4 flights per day; Phuket, 10 flights per day; Krabi, 5 flights per day; Hat Yai, 4 flights per day; Surat Thani, 3 flights per day; Nakhon Si Thammarat, 2 flights per day; Udon Thani, 4 flights per day; Khon Kaen, 3 flights per day; and Ubon Ratchathani, 3 flights per day. The airline also operates cross-regional services from Phuket to Chiang Mai, with up to 2 flights per day, and from Phuket to Chiang Rai, with 3 flights per week.
On its international network, Vietjet Thailand operates a total of 17 routes, connecting passengers to destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, including China, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia and Cambodia. Additional frequency on popular routes, which include the services between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)–Tokyo (Narita) will increase from seven to eleven round-trip flights per week starting 6 November 2026. Meanwhile, the Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)–Osaka (Kansai) route will increase from four to seven round-trip flights per week starting 13 November 2026, while the Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi)–Kuala Lumpur route will increase to two daily round-trip flights from 3 December 2026. These frequency increases will provide passengers with greater flexibility and more convenient travel options.
