In New Zealand, guests can choose from the 24-day Ultimate New Zealand, 12-day Northern Explorer and 12-day Southern Spectacular. Across Australia and New Zealand, Scenic’s handcrafted land journeys operate with no more than 36 guests and include Scenic Enrich encounters, Scenic Freechoice excursions, selected Scenic Special Stays, expert Scenic Tour Directors, return airport transfers, tipping and gratuities. More two- and three-night stays on selected itineraries allow guests to explore at an unhurried pace.

A new river safari experience in Africa

Selected Scenic Africa land journeys now include a three-night stay onboard Zambezi Queen, cruising the Chobe River along the border between Namibia and Botswana.

“Adding a river safari on the Zambezi Queen brings something genuinely different to our Africa land tours,” said Liz Crowley, Journey Designer, Scenic Group. “It gives guests time on the river complementing their land-based discovery.  For us, it’s about building an itinerary where each experience adds a different perspective on the destination.”

With no more than 28 guests, the boutique vessel offers an intimate river-safari experience, with every suite opening onto a private balcony. From the water, guests can observe elephants, buffalo, crocodiles, zebra and abundant birdlife gathering along the riverbanks bordering Chobe National Park. The stay features guided birding excursions, cultural village visits and guided catch-and-release fishing, alongside regionally inspired dining and included local soft drinks, beer and wine.
