Accor, a global leader in hospitality, is accelerating the expansion of its industry-leading brand portfolio across Asia*, with 30 new hotel signings year to date**, representing 7,698 keys across all segments. Spanning established and emerging destinations across 12 Asian countries, the signings reflect evolving travel demand, growing opportunities for owning partners and Accor’s continued focus on strengthening its presence in key markets throughout the region.
The midscale segment has been an extremely strong contributor to Accor’s development activity in the Asia hub this year, accounting for approximately 49 percent of keys signed, representing 16 hotels and 3,600+ keys across the TRIBE, Mercure, Novotel and Handwritten Collection brands. The premium segment has added to the Group’s regional pipeline with seven hotels and 2,200+ keys in Asia, led by Mövenpick, while the economy segment has delivered five hotels and 1,200 keys, led by ibis Styles. Within the luxury and lifestyle segments, which includes Accor brands like Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Emblems and MGallery as well as Ennismore brands such as Delano, SLS, 25hours and Rixos, the Group has signed two hotels representing 583 keys.
New Brand Launches for a New Generation of Travellers in Asia
2026 also marks the arrival of a new lifestyle-led economy brand in Asia, responding to changing expectations among value-conscious travellers while giving owners greater choice and flexibility. The first greet hotel in the region opened in Bangkok this year, bringing the brand’s feel-good hospitality to Asia, while Accor is also advancing plans to introduce JO&JOE, its redefined hostel experience brand, to the region in the future.
Growth in High-Potential Markets
Indonesia is Accor’s leading market in Asia for development signings this year, with 13 hotels and 2,800+ keys signed across Jakarta, Bali, Batam and Yogyakarta. Vietnam is another major growth market, with six hotels and 2,600+ keys signed across Danang and Phu Quoc, reinforcing the country’s increasingly important role in Accor’s regional development strategy.
Franchising Gains Ground across Asia
Franchising continues to gain traction as owners seek greater flexibility and access to the strength and scale of an international hospitality platform, with growing interest in markets including Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. In Vietnam, Accor became the first international hospitality group to register its brands for franchising, creating new opportunities for flexible development models. Conversion-friendly brands including Mercure, Handwritten Collection, ibis Styles and Mövenpick are also attracting owners seeking to reposition existing assets while benefiting from Accor’s internationally recognised brands, global distribution capabilities and ALL Accor, Accor’s booking and loyalty platform.
