Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort will celebrate Thanksgiving 2026 with a new Season of Gratitude shaped around the pleasures of a shared table and time spent across generations. From November 21 to 28, the resort’s family program will span Mexican craft traditions, culinary challenges and evenings on the beach, with a Thanksgiving dinner at Alebrije on Thursday, November 26, at the heart of the celebrations.

Thanksgiving at Alebrije

Thanksgiving classics sit alongside French and Italian influences on Alebrije’s new family-style menu. Turkey roulade with the resort’s traditional stuffing, cornbread, braised cabbage, gravy and cranberry sauce anchors the meal. Alongside it, duck confit tortellini is paired with cherry chutney, Parmesan foam and morels, while sole meunière is finished with brown butter, lemon and capers.

Earlier courses range from a seafood platter of prawns, king crab, oysters and tuna tartare to fennel salad with pomegranate, tangerine and goat cheese from Rancho Cacachilas. A Tuscan-style white bean and truffle soup introduces a Mexican accent through “Hoja Santa” pesto. A dedicated vegetarian menu offers mushroom and ricotta tortellini, cauliflower steak meunière and a Garden Wellington filled with seasonal produce from Miraflores, quinoa, mixed nuts, spinach and raisins.

The meal closes with desserts to share: classic pumpkin pie, pecan and raspberry harvest pie, and an apple and Jack Daniel’s tart, accompanied by house-churned pecan and Papantla vanilla bean ice creams.

A week for every generation

The week’s activities give younger guests their own ways to take part in the season. A family scavenger hunt opens the program on November 21, followed by opportunities to decorate piñatas, make puppets and play La Lotería, Mexico’s traditional bingo game. A Thanksgiving Gratitude Tree invites children to reflect on what matters to them, while flowerpot decorating and plant exploration with Gregorio Urbina, the resort’s own Xeriscaper, in the Hidden Garden bring the week to a close.

Food becomes an invitation to experiment, from a MasterChef Kids taco challenge and pizza-making class to cookie and pumpkin cupcake decorating. On Thanksgiving morning, families can join a pumpkin pie decorating challenge in the Herb Garden, with placemat crafts giving children another role in preparing for the occasion. Later in the week, they can create their own custom chocolate bars.

Teenagers have a dedicated social program, including a Mocktail Lab and neon karaoke at La Botica Speakeasy, flower arranging at La Florería and baseball cap design at Graffiti Corner. For families, beach boot camp and a pickleball challenge offer some friendly competition, while s’mores and stargazing on November 23 and a children’s beach movie night on November 25 extend the holiday into the evening.
