Following a three-month closure, Amanpuri, the original Aman destination, has unveiled a series of thoughtful enhancements for the season ahead, further enriching the guest experience while remaining true to the timeless design, exceptional privacy and intuitive hospitality that have defined the resort since opening in 1988.
Meaning “place of peace” in Sanskrit, Amanpuri occupies a secluded peninsula overlooking the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea on Phuket’s west coast. Designed to evoke the elegant architectural style of an ancient Siamese kingdom and finely tuned to sit in harmony with its natural tropical setting, Aman’s first resort promises all the space, peace and discretion of a private island. Amanpuri continues its evolution with the introduction of new accommodation categories, expanded wellness and cultural programming, enhanced dining and wellbeing spaces, and a new yachting experience.

ACCOMODATION
New for this season, Amanpuri’s accommodation has been expanded with the addition of six new pavilions, including two new accommodation categories: the Two-Bedroom Ocean Pool Pavilion and Two-Bedroom Partial Ocean Pool Pavilion which brings the resort’s total key count to 46. The resort’s iconic pavilions and villas are all nestled amongst swaying coconut palms and lush tropical vegetation, creating a sanctuary of tranquility that has captivated guests for nearly four decades.
Overlooking tranquil views of the Andaman Sea, the new Two-Bedroom Ocean Pool Pavilion offers 262 square metres of indoor and outdoor living space. Bright and airy interiors are complemented by traditional wooden accents, while the king-sized bedroom, en suite bathroom and deep-soaking bathtub opening onto an expansive timber terrace. Outside, a private swimming pool, dining area and sundeck create an inviting sanctuary for couples seeking privacy, comfort and uninterrupted ocean views.
Offering a private swimming pool surrounded by coconut palms, Amanpuri’s new Two-Bedroom Partial Ocean Pool Pavilion celebrates its beautiful natural surroundings, with an outdoor lounging sala, ideal for couples seeking seamless indoor and outdoor living. Elegantly designed, the pavilions offer over 147 square metres (1582 square feet) of interior and exterior space, featuring two king-sized bedrooms and large en suite bathrooms.
Alongside these additions, all of Amanpuri’s standalone pavilions have received a meticulous refresh, enhancing their Thai design heritage. These enhancements have been designed in harmony with Ed Tuttle’s original vision for the resort where the distinctive architecture draws inspiration from Ayutthaya – the ancient capital of Thailand – and embodies a timeless sense of space, privacy and understated luxury. Ongoing preservation works have carefully maintained the integrity of the standalone pavilions and their natural surroundings, ensuring the resort’s iconic aesthetic remains as compelling today as when it first opened.
ENHANCED DINING AND WELLNESS SPACES
Long recognised as one of the world’s leading wellness destinations, Amanpuri has played a pioneering role in the evolution of Aman’s wellness offering, combining movement, nutrition, medical services and mindfulness within an exceptional natural setting. Building on this legacy, this season sees the introduction of an additional treatment room and dry sauna. An unparalleled spa experience, the Spa House boasts unrivalled hydrotherapy facilities, a Vichy shower room, a Banya and an Infrared sauna, a steam room, a cold plunge pool and indoor Jacuzzi, complemented by an outdoor lounging deck, swimming pool and a second Jacuzzi overlooking the Andaman Sea.
Elsewhere in the resort, one of the most noticeable enhancements is to the Sunset Terrace, which has been thoughtfully reconfigured to create a more open and inviting atmosphere, with additional seating and uninterrupted views. The refreshed space provides an idyllic setting from which to take in breathtaking panoramas across the resort’s iconic bay and the shimmering Andaman Sea.
AN EVOLVING EXPRESSION OF THAILAND
While Amanpuri has long been celebrated for its extensive programme of movement, fitness and wellness experiences, the resort’s latest evolution introduces a deeper exploration of Thailand’s cultural and culinary traditions.
The enhanced weekly programme offers a more balanced blend of experiences spanning culture, cuisine and wellbeing. New for this season, guests can participate in workshops such as Origins of Thai Coffee, learning the art of crafting Kanom Ko (a traditional Phuket sweet) and participating in Lotus Folding. Further experiences include Cocktails from the Garden where guests can choose botanicals from the garden to create their own cocktails, as well as Flavours of Phuket – a hands-on introduction to Phuket cuisine. These experiences have been designed to foster a deeper connection with the island’s heritage, communities and traditions.
Complementing these cultural offerings are Amanpuri’s signature wellness experiences, including yoga, Muay Thai, sound-based therapies and movement practices, creating a richer and more holistic expression of the destination.
NEW WAYS TO EXPERIENCE THE ANDAMAN
Amanpuri’s connection to the Andaman Sea has always been central to the guest experience. This season, the resort expands its maritime offering with the introduction of the Riva 86 Domino, bringing Aman’s distinctive sense of privacy, freedom and understated sophistication onto the water.
At 26 meters (86 square feet), the high-performance sports yacht combines generous indoor and outdoor living spaces with a cruising speed of 34 knots, enabling guests to explore more distant reaches of the Andaman with exceptional comfort and ease. Departing directly from Amanpuri’s secluded beachfront, journeys aboard the Riva can access some of Thailand’s most spectacular coastal destinations, including Phi Phi, Phang Nga Bay, Racha Island and the Similan Islands.
Unlike traditional day charters, the Riva 86 has been designed for both full-day adventures and multi-day voyages, allowing guests to experience the Andaman as an extension of the Amanpuri journey. Whether exploring hidden lagoons, discovering remote islands, dining at sea or spending the night surrounded by uninterrupted ocean views, the experience offers a new perspective on one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines.
CONTINUED EVOLUTION
These latest enhancements reflect Amanpuri’s continued commitment to thoughtful evolution, enriching the guest experience while preserving the distinctive character that has made it one of the world’s most celebrated resorts. From expanded accommodation and wellness offerings to deeper cultural immersion and new opportunities to explore the Andaman Sea, Amanpuri continues to set the standard for transformative luxury travel, inviting guests to experience a renewed expression of the destination where the Aman story first began.
