Luxury, Japanese hospitality and commissions of up to 15 per cent give travel agents a compelling reason to sell Chicago this winter.
Travel agents selling Chicago this northern winter have a fresh reason to warm to the Windy City. Nobu Hotel Chicago has unveiled a group booking promotion offering suite upgrades, dining savings and enhanced commissions of up to 15 per cent.
The destination also comes with its own persuasive sales pitch. Condé Nast Traveller readers have named Chicago America’s Best Big City for a record 10th consecutive year. That is quite an endorsement, even if the city’s winter winds have never been particularly interested in public relations.
A little Japanese calm amid Chicago’s bustle
Set in the fashionable Fulton Market district of the West Loop, the 115-room Nobu Hotel Chicago brings Japanese-inspired simplicity to one of America’s liveliest dining neighbourhoods.
Rooms and suites offer a retreat from the bustle. Downstairs, the celebrated Nobu restaurant serves its signature Japanese cuisine, while the hotel’s Tranquillity Pool, steam rooms, and fitness facilities offer a welcome antidote to a day of meetings.
For corporate groups, incentives and private gatherings, the venue has another attraction: space to do business without feeling trapped in a convention centre.
The 10th-floor Kawa Ballroom accommodates up to 150 guests and can be divided for smaller meetings. The Kaze Private Dining Room seats up to 32, with an adjoining foyer available when booked. Nobu catering adds a more memorable proposition than the customary conference sandwich.
What travel agents can earn
Under the hotel’s Winter Experience promotion, qualifying new group bookings receive:
- One suite upgrade and two VIP welcome amenities, valued at up to US$40 each.
- A 15% cumulative attrition allowance.
- A 10% discount on banquet menus, excluding alcoholic beverages.
- Complimentary Wi-Fi in guest rooms and meeting rooms.
An extra incentive for the people making the bookings. For group stays of at least two nights, the published offer provides 12 per cent commission on groups of 10–15 guest rooms and 15 per cent on groups of 16–30 guest rooms.
Those figures give agents a practical reason to put Chicago on the agenda, especially for executive retreats, incentive trips and smaller corporate programmes.
The booking deadline matters
The promotion applies to new groups confirmed by 30 December 2026, for stays from 1 November 2026 to 30 March 2027. A minimum of 10 guest rooms is required on peak nights. Agents must mention the promotion when booking.
Benefits depend on final room pick-up; the offer cannot be combined with other promotions, and conditions may change without notice. Agents should confirm rates, availability and their final commission arrangements directly with the hotel before quoting clients.
