MIMARU has expanded Group Transport by MIMARU, its private transfer service for guests travelling in Japan, with additional routes available from 29 September 2026.
The expansion introduces transfers between MIMARU properties in Kyoto and Osaka, as well as connections from its Tokyo properties to hotels within Tokyo’s 23 wards and the Maihama area near Tokyo Disney Resort. These additions complement the service’s existing airport and sightseeing transfers.
Launched in March 2026 in partnership with Airport Taxi, operated by Inbound Platform Corp., the service offers vehicles accommodating five or eight passengers, according to group size and luggage requirements. Families can travel directly to their next hotel with their suitcases and strollers, reducing the demands of navigating public transport connections with children.
Guests can arrange transfers through dedicated booking pages, with fixed fares and advance payment. Published fares include tolls and fuel charges, while reservation assistance is available in English, Chinese and Japanese. Online booking allows guests to organise transport before arriving in Japan and factor transfer costs into their holiday planning.
The expanded service also complements Luggage Delivery by MIMARU, its separate same-day luggage delivery option. Guests can choose to send their bags ahead while sightseeing or travel together with their belongings to their next accommodation.
For travel advisers coordinating family itineraries, these options provide greater flexibility when planning hotel changes and stays across multiple cities. Transport arrangements can be considered alongside accommodation, with vehicle selection guided by both passenger numbers and luggage needs.
