Suncorp Stadium has donated $70,000 to the Act for Kids Stadium of Hope Campaign following their 16th Annual Charity Golf Day Presented by Programmed Property Services.

The presentation was made by Suncorp Stadium General Manager Darren Burden to Act for Kids Executive Director of Service, Strategy and Growth Tom McIntyre while touring their Wooloowin facility this week.
Mr Burden said he was amazed by the support the Golf Day receives from sponsors and partners.

“The Golf Day is an annual tradition for Suncorp Stadium, and it wouldn’t work without our incredible sponsors and donors” he said.

“Our Stadium team work hard to pull this day together and it’s a credit to them that we’re able to donate $70,000 to such a wonderful cause.”

“Act for Kids do amazing work and we’re grateful to everyone involved in the Golf Day for helping us provide this donation to a great campaign in the Stadium of Hope.”

Over the Golf Day’s 16-year history, the Stadium has now raised over $800,000 for local organisations with the latest iteration held at Brookwater Golf Course at the end of August.

Act for Kids is a for-purpose organisation providing evidence-based therapy and support to help children and families build brighter futures after trauma and adversity.

Their Stadium of Hope campaign is now in its third year supported proudly by Suncorp Stadium.

Act for Kids’ Tom McIntyre thanked all involved in the day for their generosity.

“The money raised will make a real difference to children and families impacted by trauma by helping fund vital therapy and support services,” he said.

“We are so grateful for Suncorp Stadium’s steadfast support of our campaign over the past three years, which is helping children and families heal.”

The Stadium of Hope campaign is still live and virtual seats are still available for $10 at StadiumOfHope.com.au.
