Spread the love

As summer crowds leave the Greek islands, Kos slips into its most restorative season. KOIA All-Suite Wellbeing Resort invites travellers to enjoy the island’s shoulder season, with the resort open until the end of October for last-minute autumn escapes. It is also an early chance to plan a wellbeing-led stay for the 2027 season.

October on Kos brings warm, sunny days, a sea still warm from summer and a calmer pace across the island. For guests looking for renewal rather than rush, it is the ideal time to experience the philosophy at the heart of KOIA. The island is the birthplace of Hippocrates, and his ethos of harmony between body, mind and nature still shapes life here.

The island at its most unhurried
Shoulder season shows Kos at its best. Guests can explore the ancient Asclepieion, the healing sanctuary tied to Hippocrates’ legacy, without the summer crowds. They can wander Kos Town’s historic streets and the famous Plane Tree of Hippocrates, or bathe in the natural thermal springs along the coast. The island’s flat terrain and gentle autumn temperatures are ideal for cycling and walking, and the hillside village of Zia offers some of the Aegean’s most memorable sunsets.
A wellbeing sanctuary for the new season
At KOIA, the quieter season matches the resort’s holistic approach to physical, mental and emotional balance. Guests can choose from a curated selection of therapies and experiences, from advanced treatments and integrative health consultations to mindfulness and movement sessions. All of them are designed to support meaningful, long-lasting wellbeing. Suites, with private pools, are designed to evoke calm through natural materials and elegant, modern comfort. The resort’s bioclimatic architecture and environmentally conscious practices reflect its commitment to living in harmony with nature.
Elevated dining and mixology, rooted in the garden
KOIA’s wellbeing philosophy extends to its dining concept, with nourishing menus built from seasonal ingredients, including fresh herbs and vegetables grown in the resort’s own garden. That commitment was on show this summer when the resort hosted an exclusive mixology takeover with Michele Lombardi, Head of Bars at Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge.
Celebrated for his precision, creativity and deep understanding of spirits, Lombardi created a bespoke menu of story-driven, artisanal cocktails. Each one was infused with Hippocratic herbs picked from KOIA’s gardens and paired with an elevated culinary menu. The evening was part of KOIA’s elevated mixology programme. Its spirit carries through the resort’s bar and dining offering into autumn, where the garden’s botanicals keep inspiring each menu.
“Autumn is one of the most special times of year on Kos. The light softens, the island slows down, and there is a real sense of space to reconnect with yourself and with nature, which is exactly what KOIA was created for. After a wonderful summer, including our unforgettable takeover with Michele Lombardi, we’re delighted to welcome guests through October and look forward to sharing even more with them next season,” said Stergia Epsimou, Co-Owner, KOIA All-Suite Wellbeing Resort.
