Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) today announced the appointments for two senior management positions. Steven Yiu, formerly Executive Director of Airport Operations, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Cissy Chan, Executive Director of Commercial, has taken up a concurrent new appointment as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IEC Holdings Limited, AAHK’s subsidiary that oversees the SKYTOPIA business. Both report directly to CEO of AAHK, with the appointments effective from 1 October 2026.

Mr Yiu, as COO, will lead the Airport Management Division and the Cargo and Logistics Division. He will be responsible for managing and driving excellence across HKIA’s core airport operation and safety, customer service, cargo operation and development, among others.

Ms Chan will continue to lead the Commercial Division, overseeing airport retail as well as HKIA’s land and property portfolio. As CEO of IEC Holdings, she will spearhead SKYTOPIA’s various projects, including 11 SKIES, aimed to develop into a leading entertainment hub, and the Airport Yacht Bay, the largest facility of its kind in Hong Kong.

Vivian Cheung, CEO of AAHK, said, “I would like to congratulate Steven and Cissy on their new appointments. Both have been delivering outstanding results over the years and contribute to the worldwide recognition of HKIA as one of the best airports. Their appointments and expanded portfolios reflect our full confidence in their leadership. They will continue to drive the key developments at HKIA, reinforcing our position as the hub of Asia.”

Mr Yiu joined AAHK in 1995 and was appointed Executive Director, Airport Operations of AAHK in 2022, overseeing the planning and management of operations across HKIA. He led his teams in the delivery of a number of milestone initiatives, including the deployment of the world’s largest autonomous airport vehicle fleet and the commissioning of the third runway and Terminal 2. Mr Yiu has also been closely involved in the management of Chinese Mainland airports. He is Vice Chairman of Shanghai Hong Kong Airport Management Co. Ltd. From 2009 to 2012, he was General Manager, Terminal, at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. Mr Yiu has over 30 years of experience in aviation. Before joining AAHK, he took part in major airport projects at Kai Tak Airport and Macao International Airport.

Ms Chan was appointed as Executive Director, Commercial of AAHK in September 2012. She brought to the airport a wealth of management experience gained from local and multinational corporations, particularly in partnership development, negotiation and managing commercial alliances. Under her leadership, the airport’s commercial operations have continued to thrive and grow, while HKIA maintained its status as the world’s busiest cargo airport for 15th times since 2010. Before joining AAHK, Ms Chan was director of retail portfolio and marketing at a leading real estate company in Hong Kong. Prior to that, she gained substantial management and commercial experience at senior positions in multinational companies.
