Specialist solo tour operator Just You has announced the appointment of Ashley Walker as channel support manager, effective immediately.
Ashley will be the central point of contact for group booking enquiries and take responsibility for driving process improvements that reduce administrative requirements for the sales team, enabling them to spend more time visiting agents and developing relationships.
He will be based at the head office in the UK, reporting to trade sales director Tom Morgan, and will support Just You team members around the world including Australian senior key account manager Natalie Chappell who is based in Melbourne.
“Ashley brings a wealth of trade experience to the position and will play a pivotal role in boosting our efficiency and helping our sales team spend more time supporting our agent partners. We’ve invested in our trade team over the last couple of years and this appointment is yet more evidence of our commitment to agents,” Tom said.
Ashley has worked in the travel industry for a decade, previously holding various roles at Riviera Travel, including business development executive and senior trade support executive.
“I’m incredibly excited to begin this new chapter with Just You, a brand with a reputation for creating memorable travel experiences in the solo travel space, which is booming. I’m looking forward to adding my experience to the team and supporting our valued trade partners,” Ashley said.
After launching its dedicated solo travel product down under last year, Australian solo travellers can now book one of Just You’s escorted tours designed exclusively for independent travellers with no single supplements and a guaranteed room to themselves.
All itineraries include daily breakfast and some other meals, transport, experiences, accommodation, and a Just You holiday director. Just You’s extensive program spans 100 worldwide itineraries, with tours ranging from four to 21 days, and average group sizes of 27.
