Everything that’s good about drinking in Italy comes together under one roof in October for the inaugural Bevi Italiano, proudly sponsored by Wine Pilot and United Cellars. This contemporary wine event is landing at an iconic industrial space in Sydney’s CBD for one night only. This is not your average wine tasting, but a celebration of Italian drinking culture, combining a walk-around tasting of phenomenal wines, a cocktail and antipasto bar, great music, plus classic Italian movies projected around the walls.
Australia’s leading Italian importers are turning out in force to make it a night to remember. Drink like an Italian, with over 200 wines, plus authentic aperitivi, spirits, liqueurs and grappa. Feast on salumi and cheese from Formaggi Ocello and bread from Federico Zanellato’s LODE Bakery. Live ‘La Dolce Vita’ and soak up the atmosphere with a glass of Franciacorta (who needs Champagne?), a Negroni or Canella Bellini from our bar.
This is an immersive Italian experience to meet the importers, learn about the grape varieties and best of all, how good they taste. Explore Italian wines, region by delicious region, and discover your favourite new Prosecco, Soave or Chianti. Rediscover the diversity of Italy, from the snow-capped alps in the north, down to the sun-soaked shores in the south, including renowned regions such as Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, and Mount Etna.
A limited number of RISERVA ticket holders will receive VIP treatment, including a Negroni or Canella Bellini on arrival, a luxury wine glass to keep, plus exclusive access to RISERVA wines – premium and rare labels kept “under-the-table” (sotto il tavola). Held at the stunning Machine Hall in Sydney’s CBD, Bevi Italiano has drinks and food, entertainment and information to suit everyone from the curious to the most seasoned collector. This event is all about celebrating wine, food and culture together in inimitable Italian style.
