Aussies dreaming of a Red Centre escape will now have even more time to make it happen, with Tourism Central Australia (TCA) and Northern Territory travel specialists NT Now announcing today that they’re extending travel dates for their popular Fly Free to Alice Springs offer through to 30 June 2027.
The six-month extension means travellers can continue to score a free inbound flight to Alice Springs when booking an eligible Red Centre holiday package, helping take some of the cost out of experiencing one of Australia’s most iconic destinations.
Under the Fly Free offer, travellers receive a credit equal to the lowest available inbound economy airfare into Alice Springs at the time of booking, up to $750 per person.
The extension follows strong interest from Australians looking to experience Central Australia, including an overwhelming response to Tourism Central Australia’s recently launched Red Centre Drive Voucher campaign, which attracted more than 15,000 applications from Aussies hoping to turn a Red Centre road trip into reality.
Tourism Central Australia CEO Danial Rochford said the strong response to the recent Red Centre travel offers showed Australians are eager to experience the region, particularly when value helps make the trip more accessible.
“The response to the Red Centre Drive Vouchers has shown us there is enormous appetite among Australians to experience Central Australia. What we’re hearing is that people want to come, and when we can help make that holiday more affordable, they’re ready to act,” Mr Rochford said.
“That’s why we’re extending Fly Free travel through to June 2027, giving Australians more choice and more time to plan their Red Centre holiday.”
“For many Australians, the Red Centre is a bucket-list trip. Helping reduce the cost of getting here means travellers can put more of their holiday budget towards staying longer, experiencing more and discovering everything the region has to offer.”
The extended Fly Free offer gives Australians the chance to choose from more than 20 itineraries across Alice Springs, Kings Canyon and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, with packages ranging from short escapes and wildlife adventures to arts and culture road trips, luxury getaways and event-led holidays.
Travellers can experience everything from sunrise hot air ballooning and stargazing dinners beneath some of the world’s darkest skies to sunset camel rides at Uluru, outback horse trekking, immersive Aboriginal cultural experiences and road trips through some of Australia’s most spectacular landscapes.

Departures for the Fly Free to Alice offer are available from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, subject to airline schedules and availability.
The Fly Free offer is available exclusively through NT Now and participating Australian retail travel agents, with eligible travellers receiving a credit equal to the lowest available inbound economy airfare into Alice Springs at the time of booking, up to $750 per person.
Bookings are open now and close on 30 November 2026 unless sold out prior, with travel now valid through to 30 June 2027.
Fly Free to Alice and the Red Centre Drive Voucher initiative form part of the broader Red Centre Marketing Boost Program, funded by the Australian Government to attract more visitors to Central Australia, encourage longer stays and increase visitor spending across the region.
