The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) is pleased to announce the renewal of its Strategic Partnership with Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers, continuing a relationship built on decades of support for Australia’s travel industry.

The renewed partnership brings together two organisations with deep roots in the sector. Gow-Gates has more than 60 years’ experience advising Australian organisations and more than 40 years’ experience in the travel insurance industry, developing specialist expertise in the unique risks faced by travel agents, tour operators and other travel businesses.

Gow-Gates’ relationship with the industry extends well beyond insurance. The business has worked with and supported both ATIA and the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) over many years. With CATO now part of ATIA, the renewed partnership continues that relationship across an even broader cross-section of Australia’s travel sector.

Specialist expertise built around travel

Gow-Gates has developed dedicated insurance solutions and specialist expertise for travel agents and tour operators, with its travel team working closely with businesses to understand the particular risks and operational realities of the sector.

That depth of experience has enabled Gow-Gates to support travel businesses through changing market conditions and some of the industry’s most challenging periods, while continuing to evolve its solutions as the needs of travel agents and tour operators change.

The renewed Strategic Partnership will see Gow-Gates continue to engage with ATIA members and the wider travel industry, sharing its specialist knowledge and contributing to conversations around risk, resilience and the issues affecting travel businesses.

“Their relationship extends across both ATIA and CATO and has continued through some of the most challenging periods our industry has experienced. That is a strong demonstration of genuine, long-term commitment.

“We are delighted to continue our Strategic Partnership with Gow-Gates and look forward to working together to deliver further value, expertise and support to ATIA members.”
