Visitors are invited to join two official Guinness World Records™ title attempts at Australia’s Biggest Strawberry Pick’n Day.

There is still time to pack the car, gather family and friends, and head to the Bundaberg region this weekend for a genuinely history-making Australian experience.

On Saturday, 19 September 2026, SSS Strawberries at Oakwood will bring thousands of people together for Australia’s Biggest Strawberry Pick’n Day, featuring two official Guinness World Records™ title attempts and a celebration of farming, food and community.

The headline challenge will attempt the Guinness World Records title for the most people picking strawberries simultaneously at a single venue. Registered participants will step into the field, join the countdown, pick alongside the crowd and take home the strawberries they collect.

A second high-energy challenge will attempt the record for the most strawberries eaten in one minute by an individual, with a $10,000 prize on offer.

Bundaberg Tourism CEO Duncan Littler said the event gives visitors a compelling reason to turn an extraordinary day in the strawberry fields into a memorable regional getaway.

“This is an invitation to do more than attend an event. It is a chance to stand in a Bundaberg strawberry field, join thousands of people in one unforgettable countdown and say: I helped make history.”

“Build a weekend around it. Enjoy our famous fresh produce, explore the region’s coastal experiences and experience the warm welcome that makes Bundaberg such a rewarding place to visit.”

SSS Strawberries Managing Director Gina Dang said the event would also celebrate the family business’s 25-year journey and the community that has supported it.

“It is not every day you get the chance to be part of a world record. We invite visitors from across Australia to stand with us in that field. Don’t stand and watch history. Come and make it,” Ms Dang said.

Visitors travelling from outside the region are encouraged to register before arriving and plan their Bundaberg stay now. The event offers a rare chance to connect directly with one of Australia’s great food-producing regions while taking part in a moment designed to be remembered for generations.
