As Hotel Kurrajong Canberra approaches its centenary, the historic hotel has launched a Canberra Heritage Trail Getaway, priced from $499 for two nights for two people. Guests can follow in the footsteps of former prime minister Ben Chifley, walking from the hotel to Old Parliament House for a 45-minute Chifley’s Tour of the rooms where he worked and stories from his years in office. A heritage trail map encourages further exploration of Canberra’s historic landmarks, while back at the hotel guests can settle beneath its namesake Kurrajong trees with a picnic hamper of sweet and savoury treats. The package includes two nights in a Heritage Room and a commemorative centenary tote bag to take home.
