The Become a Beyonder incentive is back, offering travel advisors five ways to earn a coveted place on a nine-day Australian mega famil in March 2027.
Journey Beyond has fired the starting pistol on its latest Become a Beyonder trade incentive. Fourteen travel advisors will win a place on the all-inclusive Journey Beyond mega famil across Western Australia and South Australia in March 2027.
The campaign opened on 1 September and runs until 31 October 2026. It follows a record 2026 campaign. Journey Beyond reported a 40 per cent year-on-year lift in sales during that promotion. Such a result tends to make a sales director smile before the first coffee.
Yet this is not just a contest for the industry’s biggest bookers. Journey Beyond has spread the 14 places across five categories. Big sellers have a route onto the famil. So do growing agencies, keen learners and bright campaign thinkers.
The company calls a “Beyonder” an expert who goes above and beyond for clients. Such an advisor knows the product and can sell more than a glossy postcard. In a trade built on trust, that matters. A strong tip to a client should always begin with sound knowledge.
“We’re rolling out the red carpet once again to bring travel agents from across the globe along for the ride to Become a Beyonder,” said Alicia Triggs, Journey Beyond’s Executive General Manager, Sales and Partnerships.
Nine days from quokkas to the Nullarbor
The prize joins three headline experiences in one well-made itinerary. They are Rottnest Island, Margaret River with Outback Spirit and the Indian Pacific from Perth to Adelaide.
Winners will receive flights from their nearest capital city into Perth and home from Adelaide. International flights are included where they apply. The trip starts with a night in premium Perth accommodation. An overnight stay on Rottnest Island comes next.
Rottnest Express will handle the touring and transport. The island’s quokkas will no doubt handle the publicity. They have done the job rather well so far.
From there, the group will join a custom four-day, three-night Outback Spirit tour. Margaret River’s famous wine, coast and wild beauty will set the scene.
The journey then moves onto the rails. Winners will spend two nights aboard the Indian Pacific in Gold Premium. The train will carry them east across the Nullarbor on one of Australia’s great rail trips.
A farewell dinner follows at historic Seppeltsfield Estate in the Barossa Valley. One last night in premium Adelaide accommodation rounds out the nine-day program.
Meals, drinks and touring are included. Several surprises also remain under wraps. As always, the finer points matter. Visas, travel insurance and personal costs are not included under the campaign terms.
Five ways to become a Beyonder
Bookings Beyond carries eight places. Six will go to the top Australian and New Zealand consultants. Their guest numbers will be counted across eligible Journey Beyond Rail, Outback Spirit, Vintage Rail Journeys and Grand Pacific Tours trips.
One North American winner and one UK or European winner will be drawn at random. Each eligible booking adds an entry.
Sell Beyond offers three places. They will go to the agencies with the highest year-on-year sales growth across the four product groups. This “most improved” approach gives keen agencies a fair chance. It does not leave every prize to the largest shopfront in town.
Learning Beyond will reward one advisor. Entrants must sign up for and watch all three campaign webinars. They must also finish the quiz after each session. The winner will be drawn at random.
Creativity Beyond keeps one place for the best agency campaign. The bar is already rather high. Last year’s winner, Helloworld Toowoomba, hand-painted The Ghan across its sliding front doors. Subtle it was not. Memorable it certainly was.
The final place comes through the Golden Ticket. This is a wildcard draw for Australian and New Zealand advisors. Every eligible booking becomes another chance to win.
Strong sales, serious trade support
Journey Beyond said its 2026 campaign had strong trade support. Its sales team made 832 store visits and sales calls. It also ran 751 advisor training sessions and 67 tailored Beyonder events.
The work took place across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Those numbers help explain why the incentive gained traction. A fine prize will turn heads. Yet training and face-to-face support help advisors turn interest into bookings. The reported 40 per cent sales lift suggests the plan did more than produce a handsome poster.
For the 2027 famil, new bookings must be made from 1 September to 31 October 2026. Clients must travel during 2027.
Eligible products include The Ghan, The Ghan Expedition, Indian Pacific and Great Southern. Outback Spirit, Vintage Rail Journeys and Grand Pacific Tours also take part.
Bookings must be deposited. Entrants need a direct booking account with Journey Beyond. Group bookings, escorted or not, do not qualify.
Winners will be notified by 30 November 2026. They must still work for the agency that made their campaign bookings when the famil takes place.
Full details and conditions are on the official Become a Beyonder campaign page. Advisors can also use the Journey Beyond Experience Hub for trade assets and campaign support.
Grand prizes and prizes that cross a continent are available. This one offers a strong sales lure and nine days of first-hand learning.
For 14 successful advisors, going beyond means quokkas, cabernet, and the Nullarbor. That is a far finer reward than another branded coffee mug.

Anne Keam’s story begins in Queensland, on a grain farm in the state’s wide western reaches, where the days were long and the lessons simple: work hard, look after your own, and don’t make a fuss. Those early years left their mark.
She later studied Arts at the University of Queensland, before doing what felt natural at the time, heading back home to the family property. But the world was calling. Anne packed a backpack and went looking, spending years on the road and finding herself most alive in South America. She wrote everything down along the way. Those notebooks, full of dust, colour, and curiosity, eventually became her blog, a quiet, personal record of seeing the world and learning from it.
