Art in Focus – Public Art Across Rockefeller Center
On now through 6 October, Rockefeller Center and the Art Production Fund are showcasing rotating public art installations inspired by NYC’s landscape and creative energy.
The current feature spotlights New York-based artist Hank Willis Thomas, whose vibrant quilts made from sports jerseys bring a bold, contemporary edge to the campus and highlight the city’s vibrant sports culture – a must‑see for anyone still buzzing after the FIFA World Cup.
Citi Concert Series on TODAY – Free Friday Morning Performances
Every Friday morning through September, Rockefeller Center becomes an open‑air stage for one of Manhattan’s most beloved summer traditions.
The 2026 lineup includes Alex Warren, Little Big Town, Brandi Carlile and Kenny Chesney – a lively, free way for visitors and families to experience NYC’s music scene without the cost or crowds of a traditional concert.
After the show, visitors can grab breakfast or pastries from Rockefeller Center’s cafés such as Black Seed Bagels, Ralph’s Coffee Truck, The Tipsy Baker, or head up to Top of the Rock for sweeping views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline.
