Tahiti Tourisme has officially launched its revamped Certified Tahiti Specialist Programme, giving travel advisors across Australia and New Zealand a smarter, more flexible and rewarding way to deepen their knowledge, connect with industry partners and confidently sell The Islands of Tahiti.

The new platform brings together training, bookings, supplier connections, consumer leads, events and specialist resources together in one central hub.

Designed around the way travel advisors work today, the platform can be accessed across mobile, tablet and desktop, with online and offline learning allowing advisors to build their destination knowledge wherever and whenever suits them.

At the heart of the programme is a new global progression system, taking advisors through four levels: Registered, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Progression is primarily driven by learning, with advisors earning points through lessons, assessments and specialty badges. Verified bookings can provide additional points and help advisors progress more quickly, however, there is no booking or revenue requirement to reach a tier. Once Bronze, Silver or Gold status has been achieved, it is permanent.

Existing Certified Tahiti Specialists will also retain the recognition they have already earned, with current levels, training history, specialty badges and booking records carried across to the new platform.

The redesigned programme has been created not simply to educate advisors, but to give them practical tools to help sell The Islands of Tahiti.

Key features of the revamped programme include:

  • New learning tracks for advisors to deepen their expertise without repeating training they have already completed, while notes can be saved within the platform for easy reference when creating itineraries or speaking with clients.

  • Consumer leads can be accessed and managed directly from the dashboard, with new tools designed to make following up and converting enquiries easier.

  • Smart functionality designed to help reduce administration, including the ability to use booking confirmations to populate key booking details. An in-platform learning assistant can also answer destination questions using Certified Tahiti Specialist content and direct advisors back to the relevant lessons and sources.

  • The programme also brings webinars, events and specialist community features together in one place, making it easier for advisors to register for sessions, add events to their calendars and stay connected with Tahiti Tourisme and fellow specialists.

As advisors progress through the programme, they can unlock additional benefits including consumer-facing visibility and supplier access, with higher tiers opening the door to opportunities such as premium directory placement, FAM trip invitations and co-operative marketing.

The result is a programme designed to support advisors well beyond the completion of their first training course, helping them continually build their knowledge, industry connections and ability to confidently sell The Islands of Tahiti.

“The new Certified Tahiti Specialist Programme reflects the important role travel advisors play in inspiring and guiding travellers to The Islands of Tahiti. We wanted to create a platform that goes beyond traditional destination training and becomes a resource advisors can genuinely use in their day-to-day business,”  said Caroline Brunel, Account Director for Tahiti Tourisme Australia & New Zealand.

“Whether an advisor is discovering The Islands of Tahiti for the first time or is already one of our experienced specialists, the new programme gives them the tools, knowledge and opportunities to continue developing their expertise and create even better experiences for their clients.”
