As cooler temperatures and shorter days begin to creep in, Bodrum is the Mediterranean’s best kept Autumnal escape for a lingering summer. Nestled within the striking natural surroundings of Bodrum’s coastline, Ruins Bodrum has become one of the season’s most coveted destinations. Tucked within the unspoiled landscape of Yalıkavak, the resort offers an evocative blend of ancient inspiration and contemporary luxury, where innovative gastronomy, rustic architecture and sensory-driven accommodation coexist – a serene oasis for a shoulder-season getaway beyond the August crowds.

Featuring 110 thoughtfully designed rooms that emphasise indoor-outdoor living, an exclusive private beach club and idyllic poolside terrace that offers breathtaking views over the Aegean coastline, as well as full-service wellness spaces including spa, Turkish hammam, gym and padel court, Ruins Luxury Resort presents a renewed vision of contemporary coastal luxury. Having quietly opened in summer 2025, Ruins represents one of Bodrum’s newest 5-star escapes.

Design

Designed by renowned Turkish architect, Sinan Kafadar, Ruins Bodrum offers a completely unique aesthetic. Inspired by the forms and textures of ancient cities reimagined with contemporary elements, the hotel seamlessly integrates rustic stone structures with modern, minimalist design. At the heart of the resort, the outdoor poolside terrace sets the tone for long, languid days under the Bodrum sun. Framed by natural stone and softened by the surrounding landscape, this expansive setting opens onto sweeping, uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea.

The hotel’s 110 rooms are split across five categories, from deluxe rooms and suites to a penthouse and private villas. Clean architectural lines, natural materials and a soothing, neutral palette create a sense of serene living, while expansive terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows frame uninterrupted views of the natural beauty of Bodrum’s coastline. Thoughtful details – including amenities by Byredo and handmade Turkish carpets – elevate every stay into a refined sensory experience.

Gastronomy

At the heart of Ruins lies a dynamic culinary offering that captures the spirit of the region. Miraj Restaurant, led by Michelin-starred chef Atilla Heilbronn, reimagines the authentic flavours of Muğla through a contemporary lens. Set within the atmospheric stone walls of the hotel, the 80-cover restaurant flows effortlessly onto a striking outdoor poolside terrace – an unmistakable focal point of the Ruins experience. Working closely with local fishermen and producers, Chef Heilbronn has crafted a menu that evolves with the rhythms of the Aegean, celebrating seasonality and provenance. Overlooking sweeping views of the Aegean Sea, this sun-drenched setting invites guests to linger from leisurely lunches through to golden-hour dinners, as the sky softens and the coastline glows.

This season also marks the return of Sips Bodrum, an exclusive partnership with internationally celebrated cocktail pioneers Sips Drinkery House of Barcelona, who will again bring their acclaimed concept to Ruins with a seasonal residency. Founded by visionary bartenders Simone Caporale and Marc Álvarez, Sips has earned its place within the World’s 50 Best Bars list, celebrated as No.1 in Europe, and No.3 in the world. At Sips Bodrum, guests can expect boundary-pushing cocktails, inventive flavour profiles and an electric yet refined Aegean atmosphere.

Within the resort, Ruins’ private beach club offers a more laid-back expression of luxury. Set along the tranquil shores of Yalıkavak, it pairs crystalline waters with a sophisticated, easy rhythm. This season, Ruins’ Beach Club returns with an exclusive partnership with Mercedes-Benz, with subtle branded elements woven throughout the space – from parasols to towels – alongside a dedicated chauffeur service for VIP guests, offering effortless access to Bodrum’s most exclusive hotspots in a Mercedes Benz G-Class.

Guests can linger over Mediterranean dishes that celebrate local authenticity, sip expertly crafted cocktails, and explore a globally curated wine list, all within a setting that captures the essence of
Bodrum’s coastal allure.

Wellness

A new dimension to its wellness offering emerged this season with the addition of ACRÉ Padel,  Yalıkavak’s premier sports club, popping up at Ruins. At ACRÉ, guests will gain exclusive access to the court for games of padel, complementing the hotel’s existing focus on outdoor wellbeing. The resort’s premium gym space, Ru Fitness, offers state-of-the-art equipment and personal training options for guests, while Ru Spa provides a sanctuary of calm, drawing on both ancient healing traditions and modern therapies from deep tissue massage to lymphatic drainage. The spa also offers a traditional sauna and hammam. Beyond the spa, guests can unwind by the sun-drenched pool, stroll through landscaped gardens, or retreat to the serenity of the private beach, each moment shaped by the natural rhythm of the Aegean.

Nurce Erben, Owner of Ruins Bodrum, says: “We envisioned Ruins as more than a hotel; it is a luxury social club where history, design and the natural rhythm of the Aegean come together to create an immersive experience. For Summer 2026, we are proud to reopen with a refined sense of identity – one that celebrates both the cultural richness of Bodrum and a contemporary approach to quiet luxury.

“We’re proud to bring award-winning gastronomy to the region, with the return of Sips Bodrum, number three in World’s 50  Best Bars list, along with the hotel’s new culinary director Chef Atilla Heillbronn with one Michelin Star. Our aim is to offer guests a culinary and artistic experience that feels both deeply rooted and entirely new.”

With its striking setting, design-led philosophy and world-class culinary and wellness experiences, Ruins Luxury Resort offers the perfect late-summer escape.
