Melco Resorts & Entertainment has achieved a double win at the prestigious Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards 2026, receiving honors in both the “Marketing Campaign – Hospitality” category for the fourth consecutive year, and the “Climate Action Initiative (Industry)”. The achievements underscore Melco’s ongoing leadership in creative innovation and steadfast commitment to sustainability within the region’s integrated resort and hospitality sector.
PATA’s “Marketing Campaign – Hospitality” Gold Award was bestowed upon Melco’s “House of Dancing Water Premiere”. In May 2025, following a five-year hiatus, “House of Dancing Water” returned to City of Dreams Macau with a brand-new chapter and a landmark cultural premiere, redefining immersive entertainment in Asia.
Executed through a strategically designed three-phase approach across key communication markets including Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Taiwan China, Thailand, and South Korea, the campaign elevated the reimagined show beyond spectacle into a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience for travelers. The campaign began with a pre-launch phase featuring a press conference, large-scale outdoor advertising and behind-the-scenes content across social media platforms to build anticipation and drive engagement. On premiere day, a globally livestreamed “Blue Carpet” ceremony, followed by the official premiere, brought together celebrities, government representatives, media and KOLs, generating significant buzz and cross-market impact. Post-launch, sustained in-depth media collaborations, KOL-driven content creation, and ongoing online and offline marketing initiatives further amplified brand visibility and maintained momentum, keeping “House of Dancing Water” top of mind among audiences across the region.
Simultaneously, Melco was honored as Gold Award winner of the “Climate Action Initiative (Industry)” category for its 2025 Sustainability Report titled “RISE to go Above & Beyond”. As a developer, owner, and operator of premier integrated resort destinations across Asia and Europe, Melco recognizes that its scale brings a unique opportunity – and responsibility – to drive meaningful environmental change. The report outlines the Company’s significant developments in environmental stewardship, community engagement, and transparent corporate governance, guiding its journey to go “Above & Beyond” in “Restoring our World”, “Inspiring our Communities”, “Sustaining our Supply Chain”, and “Empowering our Business”.
Mr. Lawrence Ho, Chairman & CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “Being honored by PATA Gold Awards for best hospitality marketing campaign for the fourth straight year, alongside receiving recognition for our efforts towards sustainable development, is a monumental validation of our colleagues’ vision and commitment. We are thrilled to receive this dual recognition which highlights Melco’s core philosophies of creative diversification and sustainable luxury. As we continue to push the boundaries of hospitality, entertainment and innovation and contribute to Macau’s economic diversification initiatives, we remain focused on our ‘Above & Beyond’ goals to achieve carbon neutrality and zero waste across all global operations by 2030.
“We are also thankful for the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)’s long-term sponsoring of the PATA Gold Awards in their continued partnership and support for this meaningful celebration.”
The presentation took place at the 42nd PATA Gold Awards 2026 ceremony and gala dinner on August 18, 2026, at the Pullman Kuching in Sarawak, Malaysia. Held during the PATA Travel Mart 2026, the event is supported and sponsored by the MGTO. The aim of the PATA Gold Awards 2026 is to celebrate, recognize, and spotlight exceptional achievements, innovation, and leadership within the Asia-Pacific travel and tourism industry.
Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, said, “My applause goes to all the winners for the amazing projects awarded this year, which fully demonstrate the power of tourism in highlighting and building a better tomorrow for our communities. As a destination continually evolving as a world centre of tourism and leisure, Macao is honored to join hands with PATA and be part of this initiative aimed at fostering vibrant yet responsible tourism development in the Asia Pacific.”
