While summer is still in full swing in Canada, Whistler Blackcomb has officially kicked off its countdown to winter with 20 November 2026 as its target opening date for the 2026/2027 Northern Hemisphere winter season.
In preparation for Whistler Blackcomb’s opening, here’s what skiers and boarders need to know about Passes, on mountain enhancements, savings and getting there:
- Current 2026 Epic Australia Pass holders will receive 10 days of combined access to Whistler Blackcomb for the coming 2026/2027 Northern Hemisphere season, on top of unlimited, unrestricted access to Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham this winter.
- The 2027 Southern Hemisphere Epic Australia Pass is currently on sale at its lowest price of the year, also providing 10 days of combined access to Whistler Blackcomb for the 2027/2028 Northern Hemisphere season on top of Australian resort access. Epic Australia Pass is AU$1099 for adults and AU$624 for children.
- Epic Australia Pass Holders receive exclusive savings at Whistler Blackcomb, including 20% off on-mountain dining, lodging, ski and ride school, equipment rentals and select specialised adventures like heli-skiing.
- New to Whistler Blackcomb is enhanced access to Blackcomb Mountain’s alpine terrain with the replacement of the Showcase T-Bar with a new quad chairlift, providing improved access to Horstman Glacier and Blackcomb Glacier terrain.
- On-mountain dining experiences will see a host of refreshed and enhanced culinary offerings, including the return of breakfast at Dusty’s, a renovated Pika’s at Roundhouse featuring a new coffee bar and elevated comfort fare, and enhanced outdoor patio experiences at both Steeps Grill & Wine Bar on Whistler Mountain and Christine’s On Blackcomb.
- Air Canada and Qantas offer direct flights from Australia to Vancouver, the airport gateway to Whistler in British Columbia, Canada. From Vancouver, Whistler Resort is a short 1.5 hour scenic transfer along the Sea to Sky Highway.
