A mix of events helped Cologne’s hotel industry post its highest occupancy and revenue per available room (RevPAR) for any July on record, according to preliminary data from CoStar, a global leading provider of online real estate marketplaces, information, and analytics in the property markets.

July 2026 (year-over-year % change):

  • Occupancy: 72.1% (+2.5%)
  • Average daily rate (ADR): EUR106.36 (+5.8%)
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): EUR76.64 (+8.5%)

In addition to the occupancy and RevPAR highs, the market also posted its second highest July ADR behind 2024 (EUR108.60).

Daily occupancy peaked on Saturday, 18 July (92.2%) thanks to a Romeo Santos and Prince Royce concert on their “Better Late Than Never” tour. The same night drove ADR and RevPAR to EUR134.16 and EUR123.70, respectively.

Both ADR (EUR159.95) and RevPAR (EUR145.16) peaked on Saturday, 4 July, which was the second night of the Cologne Pride festival and the night before the Pride grand parade. Cologne’s occupancy reached 90.8% that night.
