Cabravale Club Resort has welcomed today’s announcement that Vietjet will launch direct flights between Vietnam and Western Sydney International Airport, describing the new connection as an important milestone for families, tourism and the growing Western Sydney visitor economy.
Cabravale Club Resort Chief Commercial Officer Vicki Le joined representatives from Western Sydney International Airport and Vietjet at this morning’s announcement, celebrating a new connection that will make travel between Vietnam and Western Sydney easier than ever.
Located in the heart of one of Australia’s largest Vietnamese communities, Cabravale Club Resort has a particularly strong connection to the announcement, with around three quarters of its members having Vietnamese heritage.
Ms Le said Cabravale’s transformation had been designed with major moments in Western Sydney’s growth – including the arrival of the new international airport – firmly in mind.
“Over the past few years, Cabravale Club Resort has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in our infrastructure to make sure we’re ready for Western Sydney’s biggest moments – like today,” Ms Le said.

Ms Le said the new flights represented more than another international route, bringing communities with deep family, cultural and economic ties closer together.
“For so many people in Western Sydney, Vietnam means family, heritage and home. These direct flights will make it easier for families to be together, while creating exciting new opportunities for tourism, business and cultural exchange in both directions.”

The announcement comes on a significant day for Vietnam-Australia tourism links, with Ms Le also attending the Vietnam Tourism Promotion Roadshow in Australia 2026 in Sydney this evening. The event will celebrate the 35th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia air connectivity and tourism cooperation, bringing together representatives from the tourism, aviation and government sectors.
“It feels particularly fitting that on the same day we celebrate a new direct connection between Vietnam and Western Sydney, we’re also recognising 35 years of growing aviation and tourism ties between our two countries,” Ms Le said.
“Today is another important step in bringing Australia and Vietnam closer together. For Western Sydney’s Vietnamese community in particular, that connection is incredibly meaningful – and we’re excited about what it will mean for families, visitors and our region in the years ahead.”
