Global hospitality brand Citadines has officially arrived in Tasmania’s capital, unveiling Citadines Elizabeth Street Pier Hobart as its flagship Australian property – the only Hobart waterfront hotel offering uninterrupted harbour views and a balcony or outdoor terrace over the water from every room.

Located on the edge of southern Tasmania’s River Derwent, the 98-studio property introduces Citadines’ distinctive approach to hospitality to Hobart, inviting guests to discover the city through a local lens, through the independence and flexibility of inner-city apartment-style living, complemented by the comfort and service of a hotel. With water views from every room, the property embraces its rare position as an integral part of the guest experience.

At the heart of Hobart’s Constitution Dock, guests are positioned just steps from Salamanca Market, Battery Point, the Mona Ferry terminal, the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery, and the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, placing the city’s highlights within easy reach.

An exclusive partnership with Pier Restaurant and Bar, set to launch within the Elizabeth Street Pier precinct later this year, will further elevate the guest experience, will bring Tasmania’s celebrated food culture directly to Citadines guests, with an all-day in-room dining menu showcasing the state’s exceptional produce and seasonal flavours.

Complementing the hotel’s local approach to hospitality, guests are invited to enjoy a range of curated experiences including a complimentary daily Sip & Savour hour, in-room yoga, and the 1800-Martini service, delivering expertly crafted cocktails directly to guest rooms. Guests will also enjoy access to exclusive benefits with local partners, including discounts on whisky tastings at nearby LARK Cellar Door and Tassie Tours’ range of immersive guided day tours, alongside collaborations with non-government organisation Eat Well Tasmania, which champions Tasmanian-grown, produced and value-added food.

Citadines Elizabeth Street Pier Hobart is set to open on Monday 3 August at 1 Elizabeth Street Pier, Hobart.
