A new chapter begins for one of Bangkok’s most celebrated dining destinations. On 31 July 2026, Sra Bua by Num Weerawat at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, a multiple award-winning hospitality destination, returns with a completely reimagined identity, from its culinary philosophy and dining experience to its interior design and brand story. Marking the beginning of the new chapter of Sra Bua, the restaurant has a singular ambition: to create a dining experience that could only exist in Thailand by celebrating the country’s extraordinary biodiversity through contemporary Thai cuisine.

At the heart of Sra Bua is Thailand’s remarkable biodiversity. From mountain forests and fertile plains to rivers, coastlines and tropical seas, each season reveals ingredients found only in Thailand. This ever-changing abundance shapes Chef Num’s philosophy which is ingredient-led, seasonal and deeply connected to place. Every menu begins with what nature offers at its best, elevating ingredients from land, sea and forest through contemporary techniques while honouring the traditions and craftsmanship behind them. Years of collaboration with farmers, fishermen, foragers and producers across Thailand have made this vision possible.

Bringing this vision to life is Chef Num Weerawat, whose work has helped redefine contemporary Thai cuisine through a deep respect for local ingredients, traditional knowledge and seasonality. Following the success of his Michelin-recognised restaurants, he now leads Sra Bua’s next chapter with a philosophy shaped by years of learning from producers and communities across Thailand.

“Sra Bua is about telling the story of Thailand through its ingredients,” says Chef Num Weerawat. “Every season offers something different, and every producer has a story worth sharing. We simply listen to nature, work with what it gives us, and allow those ingredients to lead the way.”

Guests can experience this philosophy through two tasting menus: the Signature Biodiversity Journey, celebrating the richness of Thailand’s land, sea and seasonal harvests, and the Plants & Roots Forward Journey, showcasing the country’s remarkable botanical diversity. Beyond the menu, the experience continues through a Fermentation Library, a rotating exhibition of around 30 heritage Thai rice varieties, and thoughtfully curated beverage pairings inspired by Thailand’s agricultural landscape.

Every detail has been reimagined to create a seamless expression of contemporary Thailand. Interiors by TasteSpace, uniforms by Milin, and bespoke ceramics by Thai artist Aor Sutthiprapha come together with warm, intuitive Thai hospitality to create a dining experience where cuisine, craftsmanship and culture converge.

Guided by contemporary Thai hospitality, Sra Bua invites guests to discover Thailand through its biodiversity, seasons and the people behind every ingredient. It is a restaurant shaped by nature, rooted in heritage and continually evolving with the rhythms of the land, sea and forest.

Sra Bua by Num Weerawat will commence its soft launch for dinner from 31 July 2026 at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. Reservations are now available at +66 (0) 02 162 9000 or [email protected].
