BCD Travel has given Tripsource a full rebuild. The mobile app and website now have a cleaner look. They also offer a more direct path from booking to expense.
The new experience is live in 11 languages and more than 170 markets. BCD says it should lift traveller use, help staff follow policy and cut service costs. It should also make each trip easier to plan and manage.
That sounds plain enough. Yet in corporate travel, simple is often the hardest trick of all.
One front door for every trip
Tripsource brings air, hotel, car and rail into one booking space. Travellers and arrangers can search, compare and book with fewer steps. Results show clearer facts on price, choice and carbon impact. The update also adds hotel-rate guidance.
A new dashboard puts key trip details in plain view. It shows the tasks that matter most. Users can change and manage trips with less need to call for help. Busy travellers may cheer. So may the people who pay the service bill.
The wider Tripsource platform covers planning, booking, service, payment and expense. Its tools include live flight news, risk alerts, policy prompts and trip sharing. BCD wants one clear front door, not a hall full of digital cupboards.
Why travel managers should care
For travel managers, the case is easy to grasp. Staff are more likely to use a tool that works well. More use can keep bookings inside the managed travel program. That can improve data, duty of care and policy control. It may also cut needless calls.
The true test is not the shine on the screen. It is whether Tripsource saves time, cuts cost and causes less grief on a Monday morning.
“Our ambition is not to keep pace with the industry—it’s to help define where the industry goes next. By combining exceptional talent, advanced technology and an unrivaled understanding of managed travel, we’re creating experiences that set a new benchmark for the industry and deliver measurable value to our customers,” said Steph DeNote, global senior vice president, Travel Experience & Commerce.
BCD has also shared results from one global client program. From 2023 to 2025, online use rose by 15 percentage points. More than 40,000 people signed up for Tripsource. Traveller satisfaction reached eight out of 10.
Those figures cover one client, not the full customer base. Even so, they give the claim some weight. Good design can change booking habits.
This relaunch is more than fresh digital paint. It points to a wider move towards one joined-up travel experience. Travellers get fewer clicks and fewer calls. Companies get a better chance to turn policy into daily practice. Best of all, a routine booking need not feel like an entrance exam.
