Monaco has launched Visit Monaco City Walk, a new digital walking experience that encourages visitors to explore the Principality at their own pace, revealing iconic landmarks alongside lesser-known neighbourhoods through a series of curated walking routes. The initiative reflects Monaco’s continued commitment to sustainable tourism and digital innovation, encouraging visitors to slow down, explore on foot and discover the many layers of the Principality.
Designed for all types of travellers, including couples, families, groups of friends and solo visitors alike, Visit Monaco City Walk combines interactive maps, themed itineraries and practical visitor information in a mobile-friendly platform. Whether discovering the medieval streets of the Old Town, the elegance of Monte-Carlo, the waterfront at Port Hercule or the contemporary Mareterra eco-district, visitors can seamlessly navigate the Principality on foot while uncovering its history, culture, architecture, and green spaces.
Despite covering just over two square kilometres, Monaco offers remarkable diversity within walking distance. The new platform helps visitors make the most of every step by connecting attractions, viewpoints, gardens, museums, public art, shopping precincts, and local experiences into easy-to-follow routes. Walking also complements Monaco’s extensive network of public lifts, escalators, and eco-friendly transport options, making exploration both accessible and sustainable.
The launch aligns with growing demand from Australian and New Zealand travellers for immersive, slow travel experiences that encourage deeper connections with destinations. Rather than simply ticking off landmarks, visitors can discover Monaco’s distinctive neighbourhoods, local stories and hidden corners while travelling at their own rhythm.
