This July, Alila Villas Uluwatu unveils Indonesia’s Finest Collaboration Series, a curated collection of immersive dining and cocktail experiences celebrating the country’s most acclaimed chefs, bartenders, and culinary innovators. Set against the dramatic limestone cliffs of Uluwatu, the month-long series showcases the richness of Indonesia’s culinary heritage through exclusive collaborations that unite craftsmanship, creativity, and contemporary hospitality.
Bringing together some of Indonesia’s most celebrated names in food and beverage, the series reflects Alila Villas Uluwatu’s ongoing commitment to championing local talent while creating destination-led experiences that connect guests with the evolving story of Indonesian gastronomy.
The series begins on 17 July 2026 with The Warung x Semaja: A Journey Through Indonesia’s Culinary Heritage, an intimate Four Hands Dinner that brings together Chef Eling Payana, the culinary force behind The Warung, and Chef Glenn Erari of Semaja. Limited to just 40 guests, the one-night-only experience explores Indonesia’s diverse regional flavours through a refined multi-course menu where heritage recipes meet contemporary interpretation. Framed by panoramic ocean views, the evening celebrates authenticity, local ingredients, and the timeless traditions that continue to inspire modern Indonesian cuisine.
The celebration continues on 21–22 July 2026 with the second chapter of Indonesia’s Finest Bar Series, transforming Batique, Alila Villas Uluwatu’s intimate speakeasy-inspired bar, into a stage for Jakarta’s award-winning cocktail scene. Guests will experience exclusive guest shifts from The Bottom Parlour and The Cocktail Club Jakarta, two of Indonesia’s most influential cocktail destinations.
Representing the guest bars are Ronny, an internationally recognised bartender celebrated for his innovative approach to flavour and storytelling, alongside Uncle John, Co-Founder of Bottom Parlour and the creative mind behind the bar’s acclaimed house blends. Across two evenings, they will present a collection of signature cocktails crafted exclusively for the occasion, highlighting Indonesian ingredients through contemporary techniques and world-class craftsmanship.
More than a series of events, Indonesia’s Finest Collaboration Series is a celebration of Indonesian creativity, where chefs, bartenders, artisans, and storytellers come together to showcase the diversity and evolution of the nation’s culinary identity.
