Inside Travel’s cultural adventure specialist, InsideAsia, has launched two new tailor-made family itineraries in South Korea, responding to a rise in families seeking immersive, cultural experiences in the destination.
The growth reflects a broader shift in travel behaviour, with families increasingly looking beyond traditional hotspots to destinations like South Korea – drawn by its mix of vibrant cities, outdoor adventures and engaging, family-friendly cultural experiences.
South Korea Product Manager Becky Barry said the destination is proving particularly popular with families, especially since the launch of popular Netflix series KPop Demon Hunters.
“We’re seeing more families choose South Korea for its energy, variety, accessibility and unique cultural experiences. In Q1 of 2026, the ANZ market saw a 33% year-on-year increase in families travelling to South Korea,” Barry said.
“It’s a destination where you can move seamlessly from high-energy city experiences to nature, culture and hands-on activities for all ages.”
To support this demand, InsideAsia has introduced two new itineraries: South Korea Family Adventure and Family Fun in Korea, both designed to balance structured experiences with flexibility.
The tailorable South Korea Family Adventure itinerary has been designed for families with teens and older children, combining immersive, active experiences with cultural highlights.
“One day you’re weaving through the city on an e-bike, the next you’re learning a K-pop dance routine, hiking to a volcanic viewpoint, or sampling your way through Seoul’s street food scene,” Barry said.
Seoul - Changing of the guard
Meanwhile, Family Fun in Korea is designed to be fully scalable, catering to younger children, multi-generational groups, or a mix of ages.
“This itinerary is all about making South Korea easy, engaging and memorable for the whole family,” Barry said.
Alongside the new family itineraries, InsideAsia has also released its 2027 South Korea small group tour dates, expanding capacity to meet continued demand for travel to the destination.
The release includes eight departures of the popular Soul of Korea tour and four departures of the premium Majestic Korea itinerary, offering travellers more opportunities to explore the country through InsideAsia’s signature Insider-led approach.
Inside Travel ANZ Trade Partnership Manager Shane Voss said agents will be supported with upcoming training opportunities on the Inside Travel Agent Hub.
“We know South Korea can still feel unfamiliar for some clients, so we’re equipping agents with the tools and insights to confidently sell these experiences,” Voss said.
“The added benefit is that our ‘Not Another Boring Prize’ incentive is still running, giving agents the chance to win a $40,000 trip simply by engaging with training and making a booking.”
