Digital-first travel insurance provider, Freely, is today launching three new flexible travel insurance plans designed for how Australians are travelling in 2026 and beyond.

Introducing Essentials, Explorer and Explorer Pro

The three new plans – Essentials, Explorer and Explorer Pro – aim to give travellers distinct levels of cover alongside a unique combination of features such as pay-per-day Trip Extras and the ability to manage and adjust their policy in real-time, even when travelling overseas or domestically.

Euro summer?

With Euro summer fast approaching, Freely’s data reveals shifting travel patterns amongst Australian travellers. Bali tops the list of planned departures for June-August 2026 – ahead of Europe – with destinations like Vietnam and New Zealand also featuring prominently compared to the same period in 2025.

Travellers can toggle extra cover on only when they need it, extend their policy mid‑trip, and even submit claims – all in one place.

All three plans include more than 75 adventure activities as standard, 24/7 emergency assistance, telehealth access, and over 30 pre‑existing medical conditions automatically included.
