Boosted by several events, Barcelona’s hotel industry saw its highest April occupancy since 2017, according to preliminary data from CoStar, a global leading provider of online real estate marketplaces, information, and analytics in the property markets.

April 2026 (year-over-year % change):

  • Occupancy: 84.5% (+4.4%)
  • Average daily rate (ADR): EUR195.15 (+6.1%)
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): EUR164.93 (+10.7%)

The market’s event calendar included Bridal Fashion Week, CosmoBeauty Barcelona, FCE/SeaFood, the Spring I/O Conference, and Spannabis.

The metrics were at peak on Wednesday, 22 April: occupancy (95.5%), ADR (EUR269.38) and RevPAR (EUR257.30). Performance was driven by the second day of the FCE/SeaFood festival coinciding with the opening night of Bridal Fashion Week. The same occupancy level was recorded the previous night, with ADR and RevPAR at EUR268.06 and EUR255.97, respectively.

The Spring I/O Conference pushed occupancy to 94.3%, with ADR and RevPAR reaching EUR197.50 and EUR186.17, respectively, on Wednesday, 15 April.

Overall, for April, Barcelona’s occupancy levels came above the 70% mark on all but one night – Monday, 6 April (65.2%).
