Vietjet Thailand, in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has launched the “One Living Planet with Vietjet” campaign, offering a 30% discount on fares for direct flights from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to four secondary destinations including Nakhon Si Thammarat, Khon Kaen, Chiang Rai, and Hat Yai. Passengers can enjoy the offer by entering the promo code “TAT30” when booking via Vietjet Thailand’s website or mobile application from now until 31 May 2026. The campaign aims to stimulate domestic travel during the low season while supporting Thailand’s economic recovery.
Mr. Pinyot Pibulsonggram Vice President of Commercial and Customer Service of Vietjet Thailand, said, “Tourism remains a key pillar of Thailand’s economy. However, ongoing geopolitical uncertainties have affected overall economic conditions and consumer purchasing power, leading travelers to be more cautious in their spending. In response, Vietjet Thailand remains committed to stimulating domestic travel by offering accessible and value-driven options for passengers across all segments. Through the launch of the ‘One Living Planet with Vietjet’ campaign, we aim to support the continued development of Thailand’s domestic tourism sector. The initiative promotes journeys to secondary cities during the low season, in line with the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s strategy to spotlight emerging destinations, while also helping distribute tourism income more broadly to local communities and fostering more sustainable, value-oriented growth for the industry.”
Under this campaign, Vietjet Thailand is offering 3,000 promotional codes applicable to one-way or round-trip tickets across four domestic routes: Bangkok–Nakhon Si Thammarat, Bangkok–Khon Kaen, Bangkok–Chiang Rai, and Bangkok–Hat Yai. Passengers can apply the code “TAT30” to receive a 30% discount on base fares (excluding taxes, fees, and add-on services) when booking via th.vietjetair.com or the Vietjet Thailand mobile application from now until 31 May 2026, for travel between 6 May and 30 September 2026 (excluding public holidays).
Secondary city tourism is a growing long-term travel trend, driven by multiple factors, including increasingly budget-conscious behavior among travelers, a preference for less crowded destinations, and rising interest in new travel experiences, particularly nature-based and religious tourism. Vietjet Thailand has been laying the groundwork to support this trend through the continuous expansion of its domestic network, enhancing connectivity between major cities and emerging destinations. At the same time, the airline is strengthening collaborations with government agencies, private sector partners, and local stakeholders to promote “Unseen Thailand” and reinforce its role in supporting the sustainable growth of Thailand’s tourism industry.
