During the week Miami hosts the Formula 1 Grand Prix, Data Appeal and Mabrian have analyzed flight and hotel pricing trends driven by the event. According to our forecast, based on OTA data:
- Flight prices for travel between April 30 and May 4 are expected to increase by +12.5% year over year (compared to the same week when 2025 edition took place). This rise is primarily driven by domestic routes within the U.S. (+10.1%), as well as key Latin American markets, including Colombia (+4.6%), Mexico (+67.7%), and Brazil (+33.2%).
- Hotel prices are projected to grow more moderately, by +2.6% compared to the same weekend in 2025 (when the 2025 race took place), reaching an average of $388 per night. This increase is mainly driven by 4-star hotels, where prices are rising by +3.7% year over year.
According to Maria Pradissitto, Market Manager North America at Data Appeal, “even in globally established destinations such as Miami, where multiple events take place throughout the year, international events like Formula 1 have a strong impact on demand—and consequently on pricing. The effect is particularly evident in domestic flight prices and midscale hotel segments, suggesting a strong appeal among domestic travelers.”
