For Aussies looking for a New York escape, this spring is the time to book as Rockefeller Center comes alive with vibrant floral takeovers, free Broadway performances and cultural moments you’ll only find in NYC, all set in the heart of Manhattan.
Free Broadway Performances Every Thursday at Rockefeller Center
From 14 May to 4 June 2026, Rockefeller Center and Playbill will present Road to Broadway – a free weekly lunchtime concert series at The Rink every Thursday. The lineup will spotlight some of Broadway’s biggest shows including Wicked, Chicago, MJ Musical, Moulin Rouge and more.
Visitors can soak up a front-row view from Jupiter or NARO’s terrace seating or grab a classic NYC bite from favourites like Lobel’s, Ace’s Pizza or Shake Shack. Shoppers and diners at Rockefeller Center can also use their receipt for exclusive standing access on The Rink balconies.
Located steps from the Theatre District, Rockefeller Center offers visitors a natural stop before or after a Broadway show – whether for dining, shopping, skyline views, or seasonal programming in the heart of Manhattan.
Spring is Blooming at Rockefeller Center Imagined by Van Cleef & Arpels
Until 10 May 2026, Rockefeller Center is in full bloom as Van Cleef & Arpels returns with an immersive floral installation created with French artist Charlotte Gastaut, transforming the Channel Gardens and The Rink into a whimsical spring wonderland.
At weekends, visitors can enjoy a rotating schedule of live programming for all ages – from contemporary dance and children’s storybook readings to poetry, live painting and photography moments. A special dance performance at Top of the Rock offers a rare chance to experience spring in NYC from above.
