SWISS is expanding its onboard product and continuing to focus on innovation: with “Fit all the way,” the airline is introducing a new optional service for long-haul flights. Selected seats will now be equipped with integrated pedal systems, allowing passengers to stay active during the flight. With this initiative, SWISS responds to the growing demand for more movement and well-being while traveling.
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) now enables passengers to book seats featuring an integrated movement system. The discreetly built-in pedal device can be used individually and adapts to each passenger’s personal pace. This allows physical activity to be easily incorporated into the flight, whether as light movement while seated or as a more focused workout.
The new offer also includes a coordinated fitness kit provided on board. It features contemporary athletic wear, a reusable water bottle, and a towel scented with the SWISS Alpine Valley fragrance. Staying active above the clouds becomes simple and seamlessly fits into everyday travel.
Comfort at the center
The system was tested in advance under realistic conditions, both during flight and on the ground.
The concept has also been carefully developed from a design perspective. The pedal device is subtly integrated into the seat and blends harmoniously into the existing SWISS Senses cabin design. The materials used meet SWISS’s high quality standards and reinforce the airline’s commitment to a modern travel experience that reflects today’s lifestyle.
“With ‘Fit all the way,’ we are intentionally expanding our offering to include a new dimension of travel,” says Heike Birlenbach, Chief Customer Officer at SWISS. “We want to give our passengers even more ways to feel comfortable and stay active, especially on longer flights.”00
