Australia’s original luxury camping destination, Paperbark Camp, on the NSW South Coast, is offering savings of $360 per couple this winter for two-night stays at the deluxe, forest retreat at Jervis Bay.

Cocooned in tranquil, wildlife-rich bushland, guests at Paperbark are encouraged to switch off, slow down, savour the quiet relaxation and enjoy the healing powers of nature.

Paperbark Camp opened in 1999 as Australia’s first deluxe camping property, pioneering a new genre in accommodation and continues to offer an ever-popular blend of sophistication and simplicity. Nestled in tranquil, riverside bushland near Huskisson, 2½ hours south of Sydney, the five-star eco retreat offers elevated safari tents, bush-view tubs and a gourmet restaurant suspended amongst the paperbark trees.

Winter offers a change of pace, with crisp, cooler days and clear starry nights, perfect for long walks, hearty gourmet meals and hot chocolates, marshmallows and warming liqueurs around the campfire. With extra bedding, heated tents and old school hot water bottles it’s the best time of year for snuggling up together under canvas. The tranquil, riverside setting in the bush is home to kangaroos, possums and colourful birdlife.  Winter is also ideal in Jervis Bay for bushwalking, diving and swimming with seals & whales and kayaking alongside dolphins.
