MICE & Events Infrastructure

Sandals Resorts has unveiled the Louis Grant Conference Center at Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios. Spanning 8,000 square feet and accommodating up to 500 guests, the new facility significantly enhances the island’s capacity to host high-value conferences and international gatherings.
New Look, New Location for Reggae Sumfest 2026

Looking ahead, Reggae Sumfest 2026 will introduce a bold new format with a one-night-only showcase at Plantation Cove, St. Ann (18 July 2026). This evolution of the Caribbean’s premier reggae festival signals a fresh era for Jamaica’s cultural programming, a change from usual arrangements where the event is traditionally hosted in Montego Bay.
Travel Demand & Airlift Growth

Jamaica’s upward trajectory is further reflected in strong international demand:
- This summer, the island will welcome over 160,000 seats from the UK and Continental Europe, underscoring continued confidence from the airline industry and reinforcing Jamaica’s position as a key long-haul destination.
- From the UK specifically, expanded airlift includes: British Airways operating four weekly flights from London Gatwick to Kingston and from London Heathrow to Montego Bay; and TUI offering three weekly departures from London Gatwick, alongside two weekly flights each from Manchester and Birmingham; as well as additional service from Virgin Atlantic
