IHG’s Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins has announced the launch of its two new premium suites, introducing a sophisticated new way to experience Melbourne’s vibrant CBD. Officially opened in February, the Solitaire and Bijou Suites introduce heightened levels of design, comfort and considered luxury to the recently opened 179-room boutique hotel, known for its striking local artwork and thoughtful interiors inspired by the character of Melbourne.

Located on Level 9, the jewel in the crown is the Solitaire Suite, an expansive 86sqm retreat designed to feel more like a Melbourne apartment than a traditional hotel room. Offering an inviting residential-style escape, it features a super king bedroom and a separate living area fitted with a plush couch and Smart TV.

The suite includes a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine, induction cooktop, oven, microwave, dishwasher and Vintec dual-zone wine cabinet. The kitchen is centred by a large island benchtop with velvet bar stools, while a six-seater round dining table with striking blue seating provides a stylish space to entertain or host intimate soirées in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

Whilst the suite offers an indulgent overnight escape, especially for wedding couples and VIP guests, its appeal doesn’t stop there. The space lends itself beautifully to intimate gatherings; from chic hens and baby shower celebrations to product launches, canapé receptions for up to 20 guests and private seated dinners for up to six.

Curated Georg Jensen accessories add a refined touch throughout the living areas, complemented by a fully stocked minibar for refreshments. The suite opens onto a fully furnished 20.5sqm balcony, where guests can take in uninterrupted views of Melbourne’s skyline and key landmarks, including the iconic Manchester Unity Building.

Anchored by a statement circular bath, the luxurious bathroom features a separate walk-in shower and generous double vanity with tapware by LIXIL. Carefully curated artwork adds layers of character throughout the suite, including a limited-edition botanical print by Melbourne artist Carrie Retallack in the living area. The dining space features the original artwork Midnight Glow by Sydney-based multimedia artist George Hall, symbolising where the ocean meets gold. Above the dining area, the striking Flock of Light pendant by Studio Toer for Moooi adds a distinctive designer touch.

Perched on Level 10, the Bijou Suite offers a sleek urban escape featuring a separate king bedroom and living area designed for comfort and relaxation. The living room features original artworks by award-winning Australian artist Guzaliya Xavier, with soft furnishings reflecting the mauves, blues and golds within the pieces. Large windows frame views of the Manchester Unity Building, filling the space with natural light and highlighting the timeless character of Melbourne’s cityscape.

Seen throughout the hotel’s rooms, the walls behind the bed in both suites feature graphic maps of Melbourne’s laneways, with a small jewelled light marking the location of the hotel in honour of the building’s original Diamond House façade. The suite’s elevated bathroom includes a walk-in shower, double vanity and large wardrobe space, while a fully-stocked minibar provides effortless indulgence.

The launch of the two new premium suites expands Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins’ boutique accommodation offering, reinforcing the hotel’s design led-ethos and providing sophisticated urban retreats where guests can relax, entertain and feel connected to the creativity and character of the neighbourhood.
