Cunard has brought the curtain down on another exceptional Australian season, with Queen Anne departing Sydney yesterday following a series of calls that once again underscored the enduring allure of the world’s most iconic fleet.
Queen Mary 2 called into Australia first, docking overnight in Sydney on 4 March, while Queen Anne followed suit on 17 March, both travelling on their 2026 World Voyages. Thanks to the dual calls, advisors were treated to a rare opportunity to experience two of Cunard’s most distinguished Queens in a single season.
For many, it was a chance to compare the timeless grandeur of the world’s only ocean liner with the contemporary elegance of Cunard’s newest ship and to witness, first-hand, the distinct character each brings to the art of ocean travel.
More than 550 travel advisors were welcomed aboard the ships across visits in Sydney, stepping into a world of refined luxury that no brochure alone can convey.
Each visit was thoughtfully curated to bring the Cunard difference to life. On Queen Mary 2, a specially arranged 3D cinema screening at Illuminations offered a moment of wonder befitting the world’s most storied ocean liner. Aboard Queen Anne, advisors were treated to smoothie shots at the Wellness Café and canape interpretations of the ship’s signature wellness menu, a glimpse into the restorative world of Mareel Wellness & Beauty. Guests on both ships also enjoyed lunch in the celebrated Britannia Restaurant and visits to the Grill Suites, where the unhurried pace of a continuous World Voyage is felt in every detail.
Beyond the ships themselves, the season brought into sharp relief the extraordinary loyalty that Australian guests place in Cunard’s White Star Service. Eleven Australian guests are completing the full 108-night World Voyage aboard Queen Mary 2, among them a New South Wales-based couple embarking on their eleventh sailing aboard the beloved flagship. It is a testament to the bonds forged over generations between Cunard and the Australian cruising community.
Looking ahead, advisors and guests alike can expect more extraordinary experiences; Cunard will return to Australian waters in 2027, with Queen Victoria due to visit. In 2028, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Anne are set to make further royal arrivals.
