Inside Travel’s cultural adventure specialist, InsideAsia, has launched a new superior grade small group tour citing more demand than ever for South Korea trips and their style of Insider-escorted culturally rich tours.
The new 13-night Majestic Korea small group tour explores the Korean peninsula, travelling mostly by train, exploring cities, coast and rural mountain regions, combining history, craft, incredible food and a range of unique cultural experiences in beautiful places.
South Korea Product Manager, Becky Barry said, “This is our second small group tour after ‘Soul of Korea’ which completely sold-out last year. This tour is designed for people who like to stay in comfort but love to explore and experience a new country and culture.”
The tour travels from the heart of Seoul to the coastal city of Gangneung, before taking the new KTX high speed train (launched December 30, 2025) down the east coast to the cultural capital of Gyeongju, onto Korea’s second city of Busan before exploring the rural gateway of Gwangju and its surroundings.
“The tour has been designed to meet some incredible people in great places and get a greater understanding the Korean culture that is so popular right now – both the contemporary culture and more traditional culture,” Barry said.
“As well as alternative districts and Insider insight into Seoul, Busan and Gyeongju, we head to some lesser-known places. We eat in a small but renowned tofu restaurant and meet its chef in the coastal city of Gangneung.
“The tour also provides exclusive access to a master potter and his studios in rural Sunchang and heads to Yeongam village overlooking the mountains of Wolchulsan National Park, to visit a master-traditional Indigo dye artist.”
Group Tour Manager, Richard Farmer said, “We have kept the formula similar to our award-winning Japan small group tours with generally a maximum of 14 people travelling, allowing us access to small, exclusive places and using public transport where we can.
“It allows us to get beneath the surface, but that is where the similarity ends. Korea and its culture is fascinating and the experience is different to anywhere else in the world.”
